Why Solenn Heussaff is happy her partying days are over

 

Solenn Heussaff, 30, once thought that her age 'sounded so lola' when she was a kid.

But now that she is, the Kapuso star felt that she had more gusto for life than she did when she was younger.

In a one-on-one interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in between one of her photo shoots for an upcoming project, the actress/model/host said, 'It's weird because I still really feel like I'm 21...

'Before, I used to be scared of age.

'But now, I really feel younger than back then, because at 23, I was literally in clubs every night.'

She admitted that her lifestyle before didn't do her much good.

'Drinking like there's no tomorrow, I was super bloated from alcohol.

'Not eating right because after drinking, you're hungry and then you go out and have, like, a burger, pizza or oily food because that's what takes out the hangover.

'I was haggard because I was always tired.'

Clubbing and going out every night eventually felt like an obligation for Solenn.

'When you go out every night, it's like parang, 'Ah, same you, same face. Ay nako, same music naman.'

'It's boring, it gets boring, and it becomes a routine that you feel like you have to do because, 'Sige nga, I have nothing else to do.''

With a lot more things happening to Solenn as she gets older, she was able to recalibrate her priorities.

'Now, I sleep nine hours a day, I sleep early, I prepare my own food so I know what I'm putting in it and I enjoy it.

'It's my zen mode at home.

'I'd rather be at home cooking than shopping.

'When I go out at night, I have ten times more fun because I haven't seen the people in a while. There's so much to catch up about, you're like so motivated to dance.

'I think it's something you learn to like when you're older, and you appreciate it when you get older because you're just more aware of things.'

Solenn will be turning 31 on July 20, and, later, she will become Mrs. Nico Bolzico. -- For more showbiz news, visit PEP.ph
