Chariz Solomon would agree to pose for FHM 'depending on the concept'

Better know for her funny personality on screen, it may come as a surprise to some that Chariz Solomon was chosen as one of FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women in the World for 2012. Though she didn’t make it to the Top 14 of StarStruck Season 4, the Kapuso actress made a name for herself by breaking out of the girl-next-door mold and becoming a comedienne. PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) had a one-on-one interview with her last Wednesday night, May 30, at the FHM girls’night out with Bela Padilla and Chariz Solomon. The event, which was hosted by GMA Artists Center and Asia Brewery, was held at Relik Tapas Bar and Lounge in The Fort, Taguig City. Despite being ranked at just above 90, Chariz is very happy to be part of the list and considers it as an achievement. “Well, I’m proud to say na pang-apat na taon ko na ‘to. "So, you know…the whole thing na part ako ng FHM family, it’s my fourth year and I’m very happy. “And this year talaga, talagang I see to it na makakarampa ako sa day na yun. “And kahit anong place…sabi ko nga, ang sweet naman ng Artist Center na ginagawa nila ‘to for us… “Ang saya-saya kasi… I don’t know, hindi naman ako nag-e-expect na nasa 50 ako, actually. “So kahit na, this is a big deal for us. "Napaka-happy ko na may ginawang ganito yung Artist Center for us," she said, gratefully. When it comes to campaigning for herself, the 23-year-old actress likes to keep her expectations low but her hopes high. “Actually, nahihiya ako. Pero, I know naman na my friends are voting for me. “Ayun, pero nahihiya ako, sa totoo lang. "Nahihiya akong mag-campaign pero…ano lang…parang feeling ko, may time naman for me. “Kung for me, for me naman. Kung may bumoto sa akin, okay lang din. Pero kung wala, okay lang din. "Pero iboto n'yo 'ko!" she quipped. NOT HER DREAM. While many ladies would aspire to be a part of this list, the conservative ones would cringe at the idea. Chariz related the value of the title for her. She said that this isn’t exactly a dream for her, yet it is something she is proud of. “Alam n'yo, yung mga babae kasi, minsan di ba nag-aayos tayo hindi naman para sa ibang tao? Nag-aayos tayo para sa sarili natin. “So for other people to appreciate that, especially men, malaking bagay yun for us… "Mukha tayong maganda palagi, mukha tayong maayos… and sexy para sa kanila yung personality natin and how we look physically, malaking bagay yun. “Nakaka-boost ng self-confidence. "Kasi, kahit alam mo namang maganda ka, maganda pa rin yung maramdaman mo from other people, di ba, na gusto nila how you look and how you act and how’s everything about you. “So, for me, this is an important matter sa lahat ng babae. COVER GIRL. Chariz failed to walk the ramp with the rest of the 100 sexiest women last year as she was taping for one of her shows at the time. This year, she makes sure she will be at the event to claim her plaque of recognition. “Kasi last year, hindi nga ako nakarampa, e, kasi may taping kami nun. "Na-miss ko yung isang plake. Kasi sa bahay, meron na 'kong dalawang plaques. "So hopefully this year talaga, pupunta talaga ako sa event." When the time is right, does she see herself landing on the cover of FHM? “Uhm, alam mo, okay naman. Depende lang talaga sa concept. “Hindi lang kasi… kasi ako… alam ko naman, sexy ako, hindi naman ako magiging ipokrita para sabihin na hindi. “For me, I’m sexy and…pero kasi mas madami akong fans na mga bata talaga. "So, kung mag-pose man ako sa cover, siguro yung depende sa concept. “Gusto ko talaga cute, ganun. Cute, pero hindi sobrang sexy. Kasi I still want the kids to watch me, e. “I still want the moms of those kids to have their kids watch me. "Siguro kung maganda yung concept…and I’ll be proud." ACTING CAREER. Although she usually takes supporting roles, Chariz would always have one project after another. This may be taken as a testament to her acting talent and positive work attitude. After her stint in Legacy, she doesn’t have any projects lined up yet but be sure to spot her doing guestings here and there. “I’m doing Bubble Gang right now with Sam Pinto, Ellen Adarna... Yun, Bubble Gang and some guestings right now. “Yung next ko, hindi ko pa alam. Kasi nga katatapos lang ng taping namin ng Legacy," she said when asked about her upcoming projects. She is known for bringing humor to any scene but given the choice, Chariz would also want to venture into drama. “Actually alam mo, lahat ng artista pangarap nila 'yan—makapag-explore, maka-try ng iba’t ibang bagay. “I want to do indie, I want to do theater, especially musical. "Lahat gusto kong gawin. Pero siyempre, wholesome pa rin. “But I want to do drama also, and action," she explained. She also dreams of making a mark portraying the role of an antagonist. “Gusto kong maging kontrabida, e. Gusto kong maging kontrabida. "Na-try ko siya minsan, dati, sa Babangon Ako’t Dudurugin Kita. “Na-try ko siya, sabi ko, nakaka-challenge talaga. Alessandra de Rossi’s character in Legacy as Bernadette, though a kontrabida, is well loved by many viewers because of her audacity and being tactless. “Kasi ang galing nung character niya sa Legacy na… parang ngayon niya lang ginawa ‘to, e…sa buong buhay niya. “Well, lahat naman, paiba-iba siya talaga. Pero ang galing kasi nakakainis siya na nakakatawa. “Ang galing-galing at very effective siya. Gusto kong ma-achieve yun.
