GMA Pictures held a star-studded block screening of the critically acclaimed film “Green Bones” at the Uptown Mall in Taguig City.
First Lady Liza Marcos was the special guest at the VIP screening, which was also attended by GMA Network Senior Vice President Atty. Annette-Gozon-Valdes and Sparkle GMA Artist Center First Vice President Joy Marcelo, and the stars of "Green Bones."
The block screening highlighted the film’s success at the Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2024, where “Green Bones” earned major awards, including Best Picture, Best Screenplay, Best Actor for Dennis Trillo, Best Supporting Actor for Ruru Madrid, and Best Child Performer for Sienna Stevens.
Earlier, MMFF announced that the festival is extended until January 14.
“Green Bones” is based on an original story by JC Rubio, senior documentary manager of GMA Public Affairs.
It follows a prisoner named Domingo Zamora (Dennis), who is infamous for the murder of his sister and her daughter. Already up for parole, newly assigned prison guard Xavier (Ruru) takes a personal interest in ensuring he remains behind bars no matter what it takes.
