Miriam Quiambao recalls losing life savings to business partner-friend
Miriam Quiambao recalled the time she lost her life savings to a friend who was also her business partner in investing in foreclosed properties.
On Friday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Miriam shared that her friend managed her investments when she married her first husband and they moved to Hong Kong.
“Siya nag-manage noon tapos marami siyang mga iniimbitahan to co-invest with her," she said.
"Ang problema, minis-manage niya ‘yung funds, walang check and balance, so ngayon, lahat ng mga utang sa bangko, hindi niya nababayaran tapos na-remata lahat ng mga properties.
According to Miriam, she invested millions in the partnership.
“Millions ang in-invest ko doon, life savings. Nag-file kami ng class suit against her, napakulong siya, mahaba ang kwento ng kaso," she told Tito Boy.
During her guesting on "Fast Talk" on Friday, the beauty queen and host also opened up on the betrayal she experienced from her first husband, who she divorced in 2006. She, too, looked back on the time that she fell on stage in Miss Universe 1999.
Miriam finished as first runner-up in the international pageant.
On Thursday, she returned to “Unang Hirit” and looked back on her hosting days.
She is married to Ardy Roberto. They have two children, Elijah and Ezekiel Isaiah. She also has a stepson, Joshua, who is the son of Ardy and his late wife Tingting.
