Mikee Quintos weighs in on actors entering politics

Mikee Quintos sees no problem with actors entering politics.

On Thursday's "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," the Sparkle actress was asked to weigh in on the topic, as her parents were also politicians who served as councilors in Manila.

A total of 91 showbiz and social media personalities have filed certificates of candidacy for the 2025 elections, among them Willie Revillame, Angelu De Leon, and Nora Aunor.

"Feeling ko as long as 'yung hearts nila nasa tamang place, walang masama," Mikee said.

She also said actors and politicians have one thing in common: the desire to serve the public.

Asked about the opinion of some that actors should not be in politics, Mikee said, "'Wag tayong magsalita ng tapos."

Mikee herself, however, has no intention of entering politics.

"Right now, Tito, hindi talaga. I don't see myself going there," he said.

Even for her boyfriend, Paul Salas, she would rather not have him enter politics given the choice.

"Pero sino ba ako? Kung gusto talaga niya susuportahan ko siya," she said.

Mikee is currently hosting GTV's new cooking and talk show "Lutong Bahay," which airs weekdays at 5:45 p.m.
