Did Zephanie fight for Michael Sager? Sparkle star answers

Zephanie guested on Friday's "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," where she and "Maka" co-star Dylan Menor were asked if they would fight for the person they love or be swayed by their parents' opinion.

Both said that they would choose the person they love, prompting Tito Boy to ask Zephanie if she fought for Michael Sager.

The Sparkle star candidly answered the question — and she did not stutter.

"I think we really tried to maintain whatever we had before pero naniniwala din po kasi ako na seasonal 'yung mga friendships and mga relationships mo with certain people. So, for me, I'm really content and fulfilled with that season na we had," she said.

When asked by Tito Boy if it was a bad breakup, the Kapuso singer set the record straight and said no breakup happened between her and Michael.

"Wala naman nangyaring breakup just to clear it out, pero I think 'yung friendship namin talagang nagbago na siya ever since," she clarified.

Per Zephanie, she and Michael no longer get to work together as much and that a lot of things have happened.

"Again, walang anything bad against each other. We're still able to work naman po sa 'All-Out Sundays' and we'd talk and it's such a nice feeling to be able to do that, to still work with him in a different way," she said.

In an interview on "Fast Talk" in April 2023, she shared that Michael was among the Kapuso actors she found attractive. She also told Tito Boy that he is her best friend, considering him among her loved ones.

Zephanie sang the theme song of the Kapuso series "Luv is: Caught in His Arms," which starred Michael.

She is also the voice behind "Aking Hiling," the Tagalog version of the song "The Wish" from the official soundtrack of the Disney animated musical fantasy film "Wish."

She currently stars in the GMA Public Affairs teen show "Maka" alongside Dylan, Ashley Sarmiento, Marco Masa, John Clifford, and Olive May.

"Maka" airs every Saturday at 4:45 p.m. on GMA Network.
