Beauty Gonzalez, Sid Lucero to star in Netflix PH's first zombie movie 'Outside'

Beauty Gonzalez and Sid Lucero are set to star in "Outside," Netflix Philippines' first-ever zombie movie.

Netflix Philippines just dropped the movie's official trailer on Thursday, and it's enough to keep horror fans on their toes!

The trailer opens with a rundown van being driven by patriarch Francis (Sid). Francis, his wife Iris (Beauty), and sons Josh (Marco Masa) and Lucas (Aiden Tyler Patdu) are fleeing to his secluded farmhouse in the province in an attempt to escape a zombie outbreak. A bloody handprint can be seen impressed on the car's window.

A creeping sinister feeling hangs in the air throughout, as the trailer shows a glimpse into the fraught psychological struggles of the family as tension and paranoia grow.  

"Outside" is directed by filmmaker Carlo Ledesma, who is also known for horror films "The Tunnel" and "Sunod" (2019), as well as horror-comedy short "The Kapre."

Back in June, at the Netflix APAC Southeast Asia Showcase in Indonesia, direk Carlo shared that "Outside" is more than just a zombie flick, describing it as a "terrifying psychological thriller."

"At its core, it's a film about a family's survival," he was quoted as saying.

"Outside" is slated to premiere globally on October 17 on Netflix — just in time for Halloween!
