KATSEYE sets 'It's Showtime' stage on fire with 'Touch' performance

KATSEYE just set the “It’s Showtime” stage on fire!

HYBE’s first global girl group performed their viral hit "Touch" on Wednesday for their Filipino EYEKONS, including celebrity doctor Vicki Belo who was part of the audience.

Right after, the girls struck their ending fairy poses, a tradition in Korean music shows done right after every performance.

KATSEYE then greeted the audience, “What’s up, Madlang People!” and introduced themselves one by one.

“What’s up, Madlang People! Wow. Uy, Philippines!” said lone Filipina member Sophia Laforteza.

Sophia’s parents, singer-actress Carla Guevarra and chef Godfrey Laforteza, were also in the audience for their performance.

She was followed by Megan’s introduction, and then Manon who said, “You guys are amazing!”

“What’s up, Madlang People, it’s Dani!” Daniela said. Early in the segment, she told Filo EYEKONS, “We love you!” and made a heart with her hands.

Lara also said that the Filipino audience has been “amazing. We love you guys!”

Korean member Yoonchae was also able to speak with Ryan Bang and greeted each other with a happy Chuseok, or Korean Thanksgiving.

Yoonchae greeted the Filipino fans, “I’m so happy to see you all finally and thank you for supporting us. I love you, mahal kita!”

KATSEYE is in the Philippines from September 17 to 19. The girl group will be having a fan showcase titled, "KATSEYE: Touchdown in Manila," on September 18 at 6 p.m. at Ayala Malls Market! Market! in Taguig City.

During KATSEYE's press conference on Tuesday, the girls said they hope to collaborate with Liza Soberano and Niana Guerrero.

Sophia from the Philippines, Daniela, Lara, and Megan from the United States, Manon from Switzerland, and Yoonchae from South Korea debuted as KATSEYE in late June this year.

Katseye released their debut EP, “SIS (Soft Is Strong),” on August 16. It includes the viral hits, “Touch” and “Debut.”
