‘Black Rider’ airs emotional, heroic finale

Spoiler warning to those who haven’t watched the episode yet!

Over eight months after it started airing on the Kapuso network, “Black Rider” capped off its story with an emotional finale episode.

The final part of the series started by showing Bane (Yassi Pressman) running away from the group of Calvin (Jon Lucas).

Unfortunately, as she was making her way to reach Elias (Ruru Madrid), Bane was shot while carrying their child.

“Mahal na mahal kita, Bane. Mahal na mahal kita,” the weeping Elias said to Bane as he bid goodbye to her.

After holding Bane in a warm embrace and giving their child to Romana (Katrina Halili), the limping Elias stood up and went after Calvin, pouring his anger at him and beating him up to death.

Soon after briefly recovering, Elias was finally reunited with his son, and as he was saying his promises to the little one, he was surprised to see Bane walking down the stairs alive and well.

One plot twist after another, the final scene of the episode gave a cliffhanger, showing Calvin alive, laying in his hospital bed.

A man’s silhouette approached him and said, “Kailangang mabuhay ka, Calvin.”

Black Rider” started airing on Nov. 6 last year.

Ruru had previously expressed his gratitude for the role as he fulfilled his dream of starring in an action serye.

"Black Rider" won a bronze medal from the New York Festivals TV & Film. It is the only entertainment program from GMA Network that was recognized. New York Festivals TV & Film also awarded six documentaries and special reports from GMA Public Affairs and GMA News.

Ruru dedicated the win to unsung heroes.
