'Love Next Door' starring Jung Hae In, Jung So Min coming to Netflix this August


Upcoming South Korean rom-com series "Love Next Door" is slated to stream on Netflix on Aug. 17!

On Thursday, Netflix Philippines dropped the show's official teaser, starring star Jung Hae In (Choi Seung Hyo) and Jung So Min (Bae Seok Ryu) as the leads.

"Love Next Door" follows the story of Seung Hyo and Seok Ryu, who know each other from childhood and whose moms are both friends. The two share an embarrassing history in their youth, and unexpectedly encounter each other anew years later when Seok Ryu returns home in an attempt to reboot her life.

As they their lives become entangled, Seung Hyo and Seok Ryu must now navigate their love-hate friendship and life's challenges.

"Love Next Door" also sees the reunion of director Yoo Je Won and writer Shin Ha Eun, according to a report by Soompi. The two previously collaborated on the hit drama "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha," which also premiered on Netflix in August 2021.

In the past, Hae In has starred in K-drama series "Snowdrop," "D.P.," "Something in the Rain," "Prison Playbook," "While You Were Sleeping," and more. Meanwhile, So Min has starred in "Alchemy of Souls," "Because This Is My First Life," "Love Reset," and "Playful Kiss," among others.

Aside from "Love Next Door," hit South Korean drama "Lovely Runner" starring Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon will be available on Netflix starting Aug. 1.
