Herlene Budol thanks Barbie Forteza for helping her during GMA Gala 2024 accident
Herlene Budol thanked Barbie Forteza for quickly running in to assist when she accidentally fell off the stage during GMA Gala 2024.
On Instagram, the Kapuso beauty queen shared a reel where she met with Barbie to thank her personally.
“Noong nadapa ako, hindi ko napansin kung sino ‘yung mga tumulong,” Herlene said.
“Nakita ko na lang ‘yung sa video, nandu’n ka, to the rescue,” she added. “Ang laki laki ng gown mo, tinakbo mo.”
In response, Barbie said that all is well as long as Herlene is good.
“Basta okay ka, ‘yun ang importante,” Barbie said.
Earlier, Herlene positively reacted to her falling off the GMA Gala 2024 stage.
“Sa buhay, kapag nadapa ka, bumangon ka,” she said.
Herlene walked the GMA Gala 2024 red carpet in a Leo Almodal creation called the "Birth of Venus."
It's inspired by a Sandro Botticelli painting, which "depicts the goddess Venus arriving at the shore after her birth when she had emerged from the sea fully-grown," Herlene said in an Instagram post.
Now in its third year, the GMA Gala is a fundraiser for the Kapuso Foundation, which will benefit various charitable organizations.
It gathered about 1,000 guests, including showbiz celebrities, news personalities, beauty queens, internet stars, politicians — and a few surprise guests — in their black, white, and sparkle best.
Some Kapuso stars who took home awards during the entertainment industry's most star-studded event include Heart Evangelista, Alden Richards, Bea Alonzo, Dingdong Dantes, and Marian Rivera.
