Carla Abellana to her future partner: ‘See you soon, I hope to meet you soon’

Carla Abellana isn't closing her doors on love despite her failed marriage to Tom Rodriguez, but she's not looking for it at the moment, either.

On Friday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” the Kapuso actress said that she has become stronger, wiser, and more vulnerable because of what happened, assuring that she is happy now.

“It was a difficult journey to get to this point, but yes, definitely, confident po na sabihin na I’m happy, very happy,” Carla said.

When asked if she’s ready to meet new people, she said it's not something that she gives much thought for now.

“At this point po, it’s one thing na hindi ko po masyadong iniisip, especially with the amount of work that we have at very little time that we have left for ourselves to rest, recover, for personal matters, hindi po siya priority," she said.

Carla agreed with Tito Boy that she’s just going with the flow.

“Ayokong i-close po ‘yung sarili ko. I don’t want to be too bitter or too angry at the world. Ayoko din naman pong maging open. Ayokong hanapin or habulin. Whatever comes na lang po along the way, we’ll see kung where it will take me,” she said.

In the same interview, Carla was asked for her message to her future partner.

“Siguro ‘see you soon,’ naks! ‘I hope to meet you soon.’ Nagmadali, kakasabi ko lang na ‘di ko hinahanap eh,” she quipped.

“I guess, siguro, I can’t wait to see how our paths will cross,” Carla giddily added.

Carla and Tom had been in a relationship for seven years before getting married in October 2021.

The following year, Tom announced that they had already divorced. Tom, an American citizen, filed for divorce in the United States.

Since their separation, Carla has been sharing some social media posts about her healing and self-love journey, which included a visual poem titled “Mahinahon.”

In 2023, Carla said that she has moved on.

Carla is set to star in “Widows’ War” with Bea Alonzo.

It will begin airing on July 1 at 8:50 p.m.
