David Licauco once flew to South Korea for a girl he was courting
David Licauco looked back on the time when he went all the way to South Korea just so he could see the girl that he was courting.
On Tuesday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” the Pambansang Ginoo said that the girl was also from the Philippines and that she had some work in South Korea when it happened.
“Nanliligaw pa lang ako. So, parang medyo nahihirapan ako makuha ‘yung yes nung babae, so parang sabi ko, 'I want to prove myself,” he said.
He booked a flight a day before and then flew with only a backpack.
“Winter that time. So ‘yung jacket ko, siyempre ‘di muna ako nakabili, Tito Boy,” David said. “‘Pag dating ko doon, sobrang lamig, tapos bumili ako ng bulaklak, tapos nilagay ko lang dito. Sobrang lamig, tumambay ako sa CR. Tapos ‘yun na, nakita ko na siya.”
“Antok na antok na ako dahil nag-land na ako ng 5 a.m., so halos wala akong tulog at that time,” he continued.
David said that he didn’t end up with the girl, but it’s OK because “Gusto ko lang ipakita na ito ‘yung ‘That Kind of Love’ na you deserve.”
"That Kind of Love” is David’s upcoming movie with Barbie Forteza.
Directed by Catherine Camarillo, the film will be shown in Philippine cinemas on July 10.
He is also set to star on "Pulang Araw" with Barbie, Sanya Lopez, Alden Richards, and Dennis Trillo.
