Rita Daniela on Vice Ganda producing her concert: ‘Baka konting lambing pa'

When Rita Daniela appeared on the “It’s Showtime” segment “EXpecially For You,” Vice Ganda recalled the first time they met each other and how the Sparkle star tried to convince her to produce her concert.

“‘Kunin mo number ko. I-produce mo ako ng concert.’ After nun, tawa na ako nang tawa sa kaniya,” Vice said. “Nung first guesting niya rito, punta siya sa dressing room, ‘Meme! Ano na ‘yung concert ko? Nagpa-practice na ako!’”

In an interview with GMA News Online, Rita was asked for an update on her proposal to the Unkabogable Star.

“From Meme, I’m not sure pa. Siguro baka konting lambing pa natin sa kaniya, tayong netizens, ‘no? Baka talagang umabot sa part na ‘yon,” Rita said.

For the meantime, Rita invited her fans to watch out for her upcoming album and another big surprise that she is working on.

“Sa aking career naman as a singer, dapat talaga abangan nila kasi this year, aside from me releasing my album after a long time, mag-intay sila sa isang pasabog din as a singer,” she said, adding that the surprise will come out this year, “definitely before Christmas.”

Rita also talked about her date with DJ Jimmy, whom she matched with on the noontime show’s segment.

“It was fun. Ang sarap ng food. Medyo hindi lang namin talaga totally na-enjoy kasi siyempre, aside from having a date, kailangan may footage, may crew na alam mong may nanonood sa amin,” she said.

“But it was nice meeting DJ Jimmy. He’s really such a nice guy and very talented, and I like that,” Rita said.

Aside from her musical career, Rita is also an actress.

She is set to make her acting comeback on “Widows' War” with Bea Alonzo and Carla Abellana.

It is a spinoff of the popular murder-mystery series "Royal Blood" and "Widow's Web."

The project also stars Tonton Gutierrez, Jean Garcia, Jeric Gonzales, Benjamin Alves, Juancho Triviño, Jackie Lou Blanco, James Graham, and more.

“Widows’ War” will begin airing on July 1 at 8:50 p.m.
