Jon Lucas sometimes feels ‘angry’ toward his character Calvin in 'Black Rider'

Jon Lucas’ antagonist role of Calvin in “Black Rider” has earned the ire of viewers, including himself.

In an online media interview on Thursday, the Kapuso actor revealed that he sometimes feels “angry” with his character Calvin.

“May pagkakataon naman na nafi-feel natin na itong part na to na, ‘Uy nakakainis to ah parang nakakagalit to ah,’” Jon told to GMA News Online.

According to the young actor, he would normally feel the “irk” in some scenes where Calvin would physically hurt a woman.

“Normally talaga, nafi-feel ko ‘yan kapag sa mga girls. Kunwari ‘yong marahas, kapag ginagawa natin iyong mga kahalayan sa babaeng character, doon ko nafi-feel ang galit kay Calvin Magallanes,” he shared.

“Ibang usapan kasi kapag don sa babae di ba. Kahit sino magagalit at magagalit talaga,” Jon added.

In the same interview, the 28 year-old actor also looked back on his funny and unforgettable encounter with a fan while off character.

He recalled that a fan once “pinched” and reprimanded him because of his character Calvin.

“One time nasa mall kami tapos may binibili kami sa isang parang drugstore sa loob. May nakasabay kami sa pila na parang mommy or tita. Tapos habang nakapila, namukhaan niya ako. ‘Ay si Calvin!’ Tapos bigla akong kinurot dito [sa] braso. Sabi niya, ‘Ikaw ang sama-sama ng ginagawa mo kay Elias! Ayaw mong tigilan!’ Ganon,” Jon shared.

Jon plays Calvin Magallanes, an antagonist, in the Kapuso action series.

The son of the Golden Scorpion syndicate leader played by Raymond Bagatsing, Calvin is also the arch nemesis of Ruru Madrid’s character Elias Guerrero, also known as “Black Rider.”

His villain role has earned the Kapuso actor “the most hated villain on primetime” moniker, as well as the TV Supporting Actor of the Year at the 5th VP Choice Awards, proving his kontrabida prowess.

"Black Rider" also stars Kylie Padilla, Yassi Pressman, Katrina Halili, Matteo Guidicelli, Philip Salvador, Empoy Marquez, Janus del Prado, Jayson Gainza, Rainier Castillo, and more.

The series airs weeknights on GMA Telebabad at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras."
