Nadia Montenegro is now a Navy reservist

Nadia Montenegro is now part of the Philippine Navy as a reservist.

In an Instagram Story, Tuesday, Nadia’s daughter Ynna Asistio shared a snap from her mother’s graduation ceremony after finishing a 30-day training course.

In the photo, Nadia was giving a hand salute before Senator Robin Padilla, who was the guest of honor at the graduation ceremony.

“Congratulations mom,” Ynna wrote.

The veteran actress also shared a selfie of her in her Navy uniform while holding her Certificate of Completion.

She was among the 48 individuals who completed their Basic Citizen Military Course and became official reservists at the ceremony held on Tuesday.

The Philippine Navy Reserve Force is composed of civilians who volunteer to serve as a supplementary force to the regular Navy during times of war, national emergency, or when the need arises.

They undergo training to prepare them for various roles within the Navy, such as naval warfare, maritime security, disaster response, and humanitarian assistance.

Aside from Nadia, other celebrities who have been offering their services to the country by signing up as military reservists include Dingdong Dantes, Rocco Nacino, Matteo Guidicelli, Michelle Dee, and more.

Born Nadine Marie Inez Montenegro Pla, Nadia is a mom of eight children including actress Ynna and Yana Asistio.
