Dominic Roque files cyber libel case against Cristy Fermin

Dominic Roque has filed a criminal case for cyber libel against Cristy Fermin at the Office of the City Prosecutor in Pasig City on Friday, Nelson Canlas reports.

“Ang ilang malicious statements and innuendos na sinabi ni Fermin sa kanyang Youtube channel na ‘Showbiz Now Na’ ang naging basehan ng aktor para magsampa ng kaso,” Canlas said on Instagram.

Speaking to GMA News Online on the phone, Fermin said she only found out about Dom's case through GMA's messages. She added it is his right, and that she will wait for the subpoena.

Karapatan niya ‘yon, OK lang ‘yon,” Fermin said.

Earlier this month, Bea Alonzo filed the same case against Fermin, Ogie Diaz, and their co-hosts on their respective online programs.

Bea's complaint affidavit states she was the victim of false, malicious, and damaging information from someone who pretended to be close to her, which was published and discussed on Fermin's and Diaz's online shows without any basis.

Bea and Dominic made headlines in February after Boy Abunda confirmed their split.

The couple released their own statement, announcing that they had decided to end their engagement and, ultimately, their relationship.

Bea and Dominic got engaged in July 2023 and supposedly planned to hold their wedding this year.

Bea is currently taping her upcoming series with Carla Abellana, "Widow's War."
