Sharon Cuneta honored by Best Actress nom at 72nd FAMAS Awards for ‘Family of Two’

Sharon Cuneta took to social media to share her delight upon receiving news that she was nominated for Best Actress at the 72nd Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) Awards for her recent movie, “Family of Two.”

On her Instagram account, she posted the invitation she received, notifying her of her nomination.

“Oh my gulay!!! Just got this from Direk Nuel and I got gulat (surprised)! Oh nooooo I’ll still be in Italy!!! WHYYYYYYYYYYY…!!!” she wrote.

“Thank you po so much, FAMAS AWARDS! Napakalaking honor po nito (this is the biggest honor)!. Praise God!!! This is for all you my beloved SHARONIANS / SHARMY!!! I LOVE YOU!!! Such a blessing and a gift while am so far away!!!” Sharon said.

The awards night will be held on May 26 at the Fiesta Pavilion at the Manila Hotel.

Sharon starred in “Family of Two” with Alden Richards, who is also nominated for Best Actor for the movie.

She previously said that the 32-year-old actor “is truly like my own son.”

Alden also makes sure to show love for Sharon, such as surprising her during the "Dear Heart" concert rehearsals with a sweet note and flowers, and checking up on her when she gets sick.
