'Wicked' drops fantastical cinematic trailer, to open in Philippine cinemas on November 27

"Wicked" just dropped its first cinematic trailer and it's all things fantastical and spectacular and good. If you've seen it at the theater, then the trailer is also very LSS.

Ariana Grande figures heavily in the one-minuter and looks perfect as Glinda, the young woman gilded by privilege and ambition, who becomes the best friend of Elphaba, played gorgeously by the Emmy, Grammy and Tony winning powerhouse Cynthia Erivo.

The film also stars Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh as Shiz University’s regal headmistress Madame Morrible; Jonathan Bailey (Bridgerton, Fellow Travelers) as the roguish and carefree prince Fiyero; and pop culture icon Jeff Goldblum as the legendary Wizard of Oz, among others.

A beloved Broadway musical, "Wicked" has been at the theaters for two decades before making it to the big screen.

According to Universal, "Wicked" will play in Philippine cinemas beginning on November 27.
