'24 Oras,' Mike Enriquez, more Kapuso programs, personalities bag awards in Gawad La Sallianeta

Kapuso personalities and programs bagged trophies at the 6th Gawad La Sallianeta Awards held on Monday.

GMA Network's flagship newcast, "24 Oras," is now a Hall of Famer after becoming a five-time Most Outstanding News Show Awardee. 

The late broadcast journalist and "24 Oras" anchor Mike Enriquez, a La Sallian, was also posthumously awarded for his influence in Philippine journalism.

Broadcast journalist Atom Araullo took home the Most Outstanding Male News Anchor award for the TV program "State of the Nation" and the "Most Outstanding Male Documentarist" award for "The Atom Araullo Specials." 

Mariz Umali was hailed as the Most Outstanding Female News Correspondent, while Kara David, who hosts the documentary show "I-Witness," was hailed as the "Most Outstanding Female Documentarist."

GMA Public Affairs' "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho" was named the " Most Outstanding Magazine Show" with its host veteran journalist Jessica Soho winning the "Most Outstanding Magazine Show Host."

Meanwhile, Kapuso actress Barbie Forteza won the "Most Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series" for her role as Klay in "Maria Clara at Ibarra."

Kapuso actor David Licauco, a LaSallian, bagged the Zeal for LaSallian Excellence as Public Communicators Awardee for playing Fidel in "Maria Clara at Ibarra" and Carding in "Maging Sino Ka Man."
