Miss Grand Philippines 2023 candidate Catherine Camilon officially declared 'missing person'
Five days after she was reported missing by her sister, Miss Grand Philippines 2023 candidate Catherine Camilon has been declared a "missing person" by the Batangas Police Provincial Office.
In a Facebook post, the Batangas PNP said Police Provincial Office Director Police Colonel Samson Belmonte ordered the intensified efforts in tracing and gathering information regarding the whereabouts of Catherine.
The police said that the 26-year-old high school teacher, who is a resident of Barangay Rillo, Tuy, Batangas, left her house on Thursday, October 12, on board her Nissan Juke with plate number NEI 2990.
Catherine's mother, Rosario, said that she last had a conversation with her daughter when Catherine was at a gasoline station in Bauan.
"Afterwards, her mother heard no updates from Ms. Camilon until Friday morning which the mother claims is unusual," PNP said.
"All stations and units across Batangas Police Province are working together with the Tuy Municipal Police Station in searching for any trace or information" on Catherine's whereabouts."
Those with reliable information may reach out to the Tuy Municipal Police Station's hotline at 0998-598-5711.
On Friday, Catherine's sister, Chin-chin Camilon, took to social media to ask for help from netizens to locate her sister's whereabouts.
"Baka po mababasa 'to ng kasama ni Catherine Camilon kagabi na ka-work niya, hindi lang po namin alam kung sino, 'di po matandaan ang pangalan, pasabi naman po baka alam n'yo po kung nasaan siya," she wrote.
Catherine represented Tuy, Batangas in the Miss Grand Philippines 2023 pageant.
