Kate Valdez to play two roles for the first time on ‘Unica Hija’

Kate Valdez is going to play two roles for the first time ever on the upcoming GMA series “Unica Hija.”

In an online interview with the press, the Kapuso actress said she will give life to Bianca and Hope, who are far different from each other. She admitted that it was a challenge.

“Bianca is the original one. Siya po yung pinagkunan ng DNA para kay Hope, which is ang clone,” she said. “Si Bianca, mayaman, she’s sheltered. Si Hope, orphan, laging kawawa, inaapi.”

Apart from their status in life, Kate said Bianca and Hope also differ in their motives and perspectives.

“Si Bianca, kumpleto ang pamilya niya pero syempre, ‘di naman mawawala sa family yung may unting complications so ang goal ni Bianca ay buong pamilya, masayang pamilya.”

“Si Hope, hindi siya lumaking nakilala ang pamilya niya kaya lagi siyang naghahanap ng answers sa identity niya,” she added.

On why Bianca has a clone, meanwhile, Katrina Halili only teased it happened after an accident in the family. According to the actress, her character is a mom who is very protective of her child.

“Hirap na hirap kaming magka-baby so nung nagkaroon kami ng baby, sobrang overprotective ako. Talagang sobrang ayoko siyang nasasaktan, ayoko siyang mawala sa paningin ko,” she said.
