Catriona Gray asks NBI to track people behind fake topless photo

Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray on Tuesday asked the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to track those behind her "fake" photo circulating online.

"The reason why the NBI will be conducting an investigation is to determine the persons accountable for each posting in the social media. Kahit sinong tamaan niyan, icha-charge namin," NBI Deputy Director Vicente de Guzman said.

Her lawyer earlier said a topless photo of the beauty queen circulating online is "fake and digitally altered."

"We will likewise take legal action against those involved in the manufacture and publication of said photo," lawyer Joji Alonso said in a statement over the weekend.

The lawyer said they denounce the "vicious attempt to tarnish the good name of Ms. Gray."—AOL, GMA News
