Rules being crafted for second Metro Manila Film Festival
The Metro Manila Film Festival confirmed on Wednesday that a “second Metro Manila Film Festival" is in the offing.
In a press release, MMFF announced that its executive committee (Execom) and some of Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) officials are crafting the rules for the MMFF Summer Film Festival.
“The Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) will work on the staging of the film festival twice a year as proposed by Senator and MMFF Executive Committee member Bong Go,” MMDA said.
“Genuine consultations with stakeholders particularly cinemas and producers will be held to finalize the rules,” MMFF added.
The film festival headed by the MMDA was traditionally held every year during Christmas season. Go, a new member of the Execom, earlier suggested to do the MMFF twice a year. —Joviland Rita/LDF, GMA News
