Eddie Garcia is putting up a valiant fight — family spokesperson
Actor Eddie Garcia's blood pressure is stable after having some episodes of low blood pressure or hypotension, according to the spokesperson of the family.
“EG is still valiantly fighting,” said Dr. Tony Rebosa, the spokesperson for the Garcia family in a text message to reporters.
The family has been asking the friends and the public for prayers for his recovery.
Garcia, 90, a popular veteran actor made several movies with the father of Sen. Grace Poe, Fernando Poe Jr.
Poe dropped by the hospital to visit Garcia and his family on Wednesday evening.
She recalled the close ties between her father and Garcia.
Poe declined to give an update on Garcia's condition, but disclosed that she remained hopeful.
"Alam mo mabuting sila na lang ang magsabi kung ano talaga ang estado pero habang may buhay may pagasa, patuloy pa rin ang ating pagdarasal," she said.
The senator also noted that Garcia, at the time of the accident, was still passionate about acting.
She also pointed out that safety measures should be in place during the shooting of TV or movies scenes.
— BAP, GMA News
