Maine’s Christmas wish? ‘Gumaan ang buhay ng nahihirapan’

Because she has everything that she could ever ask for, Kapuso sweetheart Maine Mendoza's thoughts focused on the less fortunate this Christmas.

After unveiling the "Christmas on Display" tradition during its homecoming at the Araneta Center in Cubao, Maine revealed what she wanted for Christmas this year.

“Alam mo pinagiisipan ko rin yan eh, kasi wala na kong mahihiling pa ngayong Pasko,” she said.

“Pero siguro, gumaan talaga ang buhay ng mga nahihirapan. Kahit ano man yun, kahit anong klaseng paghihirap.”

Maine's Christmas would be quite busy this year.

She would star in the film “Jack Em Popoy: The Pulisincredibles”, an entry to the annual Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), which opens on Christmas Day.

“Magpro-promote ng movie. Kasi sa MMFF eh, kaya walang chance na mag-vacation abroad,” she said.

“Sa ngayon siguro dito lang kami. Sama sama sa bahay, with relatives,” she added.

Maine shared that the get-together could be considered a family tradition.

“Kami naman kasing family, madalas ginagawa namin, every year get together lang kami sa side ng nanay ko. Yun lang. Kain tapos catch up. Simple lang pero masaya,” she said. — DVM, GMA News
