The mother of actress Isabel Granada, Guapa Villarama, appealed for prayers on Sunday as the actress remains in a coma after collapsing in Qatar.
Villarama, also known as "Mommy Guapa," arrived in Doha, Qatar on Saturday, along with the actress's son Hubert Thomas Jericho Granada Aguas.
It was an emotional moment after Mommy Guapa had seen the condition of her daughter who is still in the intensive care unit of Hamad General Hospital.
Despite their situation, Mommy Guapa thanked Isabel's friends and supporters, the Philippine Embassy, the Spanish Embassy, Labor Attache David Des Dicang and Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello, who facilitated their travel to Qatar.
Isabel and her husband Arnel Cowley were in Qatar for the Philippine Trade and Tourism Conference. The actress suddenly felt dizzy and lost consciousness while at the event, according to her friend, former actor Robby Tarroza.
Meanwhile, Chuckie Dreyfus, another friend, said that the actress is already in stable condition even though she remains unconscious.
Cowley said that Isabel suffered from "brain hemorrhage [that] indicates aneurysm and in turn affected her heart." —Marlly Rome Bondoc/LBG/BM, GMA News
