Instagram exchange between Sharon, Gabby sends fans into frenzy

Megastar Sharon Cuneta has been happily married to Senator Kiko Pangilinan for quite some time now and she's been vocal about the strength of their relationship.

But fans are still carrying a torch for a possible reunion with her old flame Gabby Concepcion, if only in fiction.

The pair have ended their romantic relationship years ago, but a recent exchange on Instagram has proven that the pair still think of each other fondly.

Sharon posted a virtual note for the actor, thanking him for fruits that he sent.

"@concepciongabby Thank you for sending the durian through Ara. A pleasant surprise and much appreciated. Hope all's well. God bless!" the host-actress wrote.

Gabby responded in the comments section directly, thoughtfully sending his best regards.

"@reallysharoncuneta stay well. Right fruits for better health, better life. Glad you got it. Enjoy :)" he wrote.

Fans were quick to note the exchange, with one remarking that she's still "praying" that the two get together "in God's time."

Another wrote, "OMG! Super kilig talaga......nabuhayan ako bigla as one of Sharon and Gabby's fans. Concern[-ed] pa sila sa isat isa especially Gabby who's been very sweet to Sharon ever since. Love is lovelier the second time around. God bless you both and more power!"

Kilig is still in the air and though a real-life romance is no longer possible (as both are already happily married to other people), fans are hoping that a reunion onscreen happens soon. —NB/KVD, GMA News
