Janno Gibbs 'genuinely happy' for daughter Alyssa's engagement
Singer-actor Janno Gibbs took to Instagram to express how "genuinely happy" he is for his daughter Alyssa's engagement.
"My @chiiloyzagagibbs is now engaged!! WTF!?? Hahaha Kidding!," Janno joked.
Alyssa's boyfriend of four years, Anton Cruz, proposed to her on a cliff above the sea, her favorite spot in Sydney.
Janno narrated that Anton asked for his and his wife Bing Loyzaga's blessing before their trip to Australia. He said Anton's family also flew to Australia to witness the special moment.
"@antoncruz surprised her w a proposal on her favorite spot in Sydney. Anton had asked mine and @bingloyzaga 's blessings way before our trip. Even his whole family came to Australia for this! With Chi having no clue whatsoever! Anton has long been welcome in our family. Papa is genuinely happy for u My Little Princess " he wrote on Instagram.
Alyssa posted the same photo on her Instagram, describing the proposal as the "greatest surprise" of her life.
"He picked my favorite spot in Sydney. Little did I know, both our families (who flew all the way from Manila) were waiting to greet us after this! GREATEST. SURPRISE. OF. MY. LIFE!," Alyssa's caption read.

Meanwhile, Bing also shared sweet snaps of her daughter and Anton on her Instagram account, with the caption, "And now I gain a Son. congratulations @chiiloyzagagibbs and @antoncruz."
