Donita Rose spills the beans on what helped her heal after divorce
It's hard to imagine how tough it must be for a couple to decide that their marriage isn't quite the happily ever after they imagined, but Donita Rose has found a graceful way of handling her split from husband Eric Villarama.
In an interview with PEP.ph on Tuesday, Donita shared, "I think medyo fully-healed na [from the separation], nakapag-move on na."
Their son Joshua Paul remains their greatest motivation to maintain a good relationship as co-parents, but she said that acquiring new skills also helped her cope with the changes in her life.
"Alam niyo, barista rin ako. Nag-aral ako ng coffee, yung pagiging barista," Donita declared. "And so, every day, when I do my latte art, gumagawa ako ng heart. Dati wasak ang puso ko, ngayon buong-buo na siya."
Pro tip: Time heals wounds, but keep your hands busy so you don't pick your scabs and cause scars.
Donita and Eric's divorce was finalized December of last year. They were married in California in 2003. Being a Filipino citizen, Donita is currently working on having the marriage annulled in the Philippines.
