9-year-old Fil-Am's powerful voice blows roof off US talent show

A 9-year-old Filipino-American, Angelica Hale, armed with a powerful voice and a dream to be the next Whitney Houston, amazed the judges and the audience of US talent show, "America's Got Talent".

Covering retro-soul singer Andra Day's "Rise Up", Hale not only managed to drive the audience up on to their feet, but also managed to accomplish the same feat on infamously crusty judge, Simon Cowell.

Hale is not only an inspiration because of her talent, but also because she is a kidney-transplant survivor.

"It is a miracle that I am still here, and it is my honor and my privilege to use my gift to give back and help others," said the young talent on her social media page. — DVM, GMA News
