Pia Wurtzbach on Oscars faux pas: 'If it can happen to me, it can happen to anybody'
The Academy had its very own “Miss Universe” moment on Sunday as “La La Land” was mistakenly announced as the Best Picture winner, only to have the award handed to the makers of “Moonlight" moments later.
Everybody seemed to have the urge to look back to the 64th Miss Universe, when the crown was passed from Miss Colombia to Miss Philippines in a matter of minutes after a blunder by host Steve Harvey.
“Have your people call our people—we know what to do,” the official Miss Universe account tweeted after the Oscars gaffe.

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, who was on the spotlight during the infamous coronation moment two years ago, also made light of the rather awkward situation over in Hollywood.
The Filipina beauty queen let one of her commercials do the talking: “If it can happen to me, it can happen to anybody.”

In a highly unusual mishap, presenter Warren Beatty first mistakenly announced that "La La Land" had won, causing confusion and uproar on Hollywood's biggest night. Beatty said he had been given the wrong envelope to open.
The film's executive producer Jordan Horowitz, who is among those who accepted the award for "La La Land," announced the real Best Picture winner and said, "I’m going to be really proud to hand this to my friends from Moonlight." —ALG, GMA News
