MOA Arena area a no-fly zone for 65th Miss Universe event —CAAP

Airspace around the Mall of Asia in Pasay City will be a no-fly zone during the 65th Miss Universe grand coronation event on January 30.

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines issued Saturday a Notice to Airmen declaring the MOA a no-fly zone.  

In an advisory, CAAP said that the one kilometer radius of the MOA Arena from surface to 300 feet will be a no-fly zone for helicopters and drones effective 11 a.m.-1 p.m on January 29 until January 30.

Senior Supt. Emmanuel Licup, staff for operations of the Security Task Force for the 65th Miss Universe pageant, had said that some 1,300 police personnel in Metro Manila alone will be deployed to secure the grand coronation event.   —John Ted Cordero/LBG, GMA News
