Alma Moreno visits son, Mark Anthony, in Angeles jail

Former actress Alma Moreno visited her son, Mark Anthony Fernandez, who is detained at Station 6 in Angeles City in Pampanga on Thursday evening, GMA News' Mav Gonzales reported on "Unang Balita."

She stayed for about two hours with Fernandez, who was arrested for possession of one kilo of marijuana earlier this week.

Moreno declined to be interviewed.

The live-in partner of Fernandez and his lawyer also paid him a visit.

Fernandez, meanwhile, is detained alone in a prison cell with a comfort room, his own electric fan and a folding bed.

A police official denied that they are giving the actor special treatment, adding that the arrangement was made because Fernandez frequently uses the comfort room.

"Kung special treatment siguro di na sa selda. Dito na lang siya. Pwede ko naman siya bantayan dito, yun ang special treatment,"  said Chief Insp. Francisco Guevarra Jr., Station 6 Commander. — BAP, GMA News
