Mark Herras renews contract with GMA Network, eyes darker roles
Kapuso star Mark Herras has renewed his contract with GMA Network, his home station for nearly 14 years.
During the signing in GMA Network Center on Tuesday, Mark assured that he has no plans of leaving.
"After all these years syempre nasa GMA pa rin naman ang loyalty ko. Hindi naman po magbabago yun dahil utang na loob ko sa kanya lahat ng meron ako today," Mark said.
"Dito ako nagsimula and I'm hoping dito rin ako magtatagal," he added. However, this time, the 29-year-old actor wants to take on a role very different from the characters he normally portrays.
In mapping out his future in showbiz, Mark had suggested to GMA Network officials that he play a darker character onscreen.
"This time, we had a plan for my future...I'm gonna do challenging roles, different roles, so medyo iba dun sa ginagawa ko for the past two years...Medyo may pagka-dark yung role. Hindi lang siya basta dark, kung baga may pinaggalingan," Mark said.
The "Conan, My Beautician" star said that if given such a project, he will do his best to prove himself.
"I want to show them naman na kaya ko subukan ang ibang roles," he said. — VVP, GMA News
