BB Gandanghari files petition in US to legally change name, gender

BB Gandanghari has formally filed a petition to have her name and gender legally changed in California.

According to a post on her Instagram account, Gandanghari formally filed a petition for change of name and gender at the Superior Court of California on August 18.

The petition entails the change of name from her current legal name of Rustom Cariño Padilla to Binibini Gandanghari, and the change of gender from male to female.

The notice of hearing on the matter has been set for 8:30 a.m. on November 16, 2016.

"CHANGE is coming... Big time!!!" the post read.

BB also posted a photo of herself filling up the petition, with a caption that read: "And then... It's really just a matter of time now."
