Gerphil Flores eager to show 'other sides' of her singing prowess in future album

After graduating, Gerphil Flores hopes to release soon a solo album that will showcase her abilities in other music genres.

 

"Ngayon, tatapusin ko lang yung natitirang one semester sa school. After graduating, sana magkaroon na ako ng sarili kong album,"  she told GMA News Online in an exclusive interview.

 

Aside from classical pieces, Flores said she also knows her way around pop and jazz music.

During the #Askaway session she had earlier today with GMA News Online, the singer also said she can do rap and hip-hop.  

 

"Dito sa album na ito, masho-showcase ko 'di lang 'yung [classical-]crossover o classical, meron ding konting jazz, konting pop. Makita rin nila 'yung ibang sides ko," she told GMA News Online in an exclusive interview. 

 

When asked who she wants to produce her album, Flores laughed and said, "Ayyy! Siyempre alam na 'yan! Pero sana talaga. Sana magkatotoo 'yung promise ni David Foster... 'Yung comment niya na, 'The world will know about you,' parang ganoon." 

 

Flores was the producer's Golden Buzzer. During the season finale, Foster said the young singer was 'still my golden buzzer' after not making it to the final two. 

 

"Pero hindi ako nag-eexpect. Mahirap mag-expect tapos hindi naman dumating, madi-disappoint ka lang. Ang sabi ko lang, sana mangyari, sana magkatotoo," Flores said.  — ELR, GMA News
