Tom told GMANetwork.com that he respects whatever people have to say.

“If they’re gonna say it’s not masculine, okay lang. That’s their opinion,” he said.

The tears were a result of him getting caught off guard because the people dearest to him was involved.

“I was just reacting on how I felt. My family is my weakness. I miss them so much and I’m at my most vulnerable all the time when it comes to my family because I do everything for them,” he added.

At the rate he’s going, he’s practically restless, but thinking about his family keeps him driven, determined and dedicated.

“Everything I do here, lahat ng puyat, pagod, every day na walang tulog, kasi halos minsan, isang oras na lang 'yung pahinga mo, at 'yung pahinga na 'yun, ililigo mo lang para dumiretso ka sa kabilang taping... Buti na lang naaalala ko palagi na para sa pamilya ko lahat ‘to, and with that, I just reacted what was in my heart when I saw them. I miss them so much,” he shared.

He longs for the company of his loved ones, that’s why seeing a video of them sent him to tears.

“Mahirap na nandito ako mag-isa sa Pilipinas, [na] malayo sa kanila pero gayunpaman, nararamdaman ko palagi 'yung pagmamahal nila sa ‘kin, 'yung suporta nila sa ‘kin. I feel blessed and I feel lucky,” he explained.

The public is entitled to their own interpretations but Tom knows what he felt and makes no apologies for how he expressed it.

“I thank the people who appreciate that for what it is. Those who may have something to say, they’re entitled to their own opinion and I respect that,” he declared. -- Mary Louise Ligunas/Elisa Aquino, GMANetwork.com
