Many of the ace comedian's fans lined up at the Heritage Park in Taguig City in time for the early start of the public viewing of his remains at 6 a.m. The late comedy king's family had initially allowed the public viewing from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., but extended the viewing hours on the eve of his burial. A report by radio dzBB's Allan Gatus said those who lined up early included the Santos family from Marikina City, who woke up at 4 a.m. to get to the site early. A separate report by dzBB's Glen Juego said Dolphy's sons Vandolph and Boy2 Quizon also made early preparations to meet the visitors. Fans had flocked to the Heritage Park since Wednesday, in hopes of paying their last respects to the veteran actor-comedian. While an estimated 3,000 paid their respects to Dolphy Thursday, the number doubled to 6,000 on Friday. Dolphy died last Tuesday at the Makati Medical Center, two weeks before he was to turn 84. His family had scheduled a private burial on Sunday afternoon. On Friday, television evangelist Eduardo "Eddie" Villanueva held a religious service at Dolphy's wake. Among the guests at Friday's wake was actor Mark Anthony Fernandez, who said Dolphy treated him like a real son. — LBG, GMA News
