Dolphy family eyes Sunday 3 p.m. burial at Heritage Park
Relatives of the late Comedy King Rodolfo "Dolphy" Vera Quizon are considering a 3 p.m. schedule for his burial on Sunday at the Heritage Park in Taguig City. The schedule will allow the ace comedian's family some extra time to bid farewell to him, according to a report by radio dzBB's Glen Juego. Family members were quoted in the report as saying they are still ironing out the details and may make an announcement on Saturday. Dolphy died on Tuesday night at the Makati Medical Center, two weeks before what would have been his 84th birthday. As of 10 a.m. Friday, fans continued to line up to pay their last respects to the veteran actor-comedian. But the report said some of the fans had to be repeatedly reminded not to use their cameras to take photos of Dolphy's remains inside the chapel. Meanwhile, fans who could not go to Heritage Park paid their respects at the Walk of Fame at the Eastwood City in Libis, Quezon City. Many of them left candles, flowers and letters to the ace comedian, thanking him "for the many years of laughter you have shared with us." — LBG, GMA News
