Rhian Ramos looks forward to working with Aljur Abrenica

Rhian Ramos was all smiles when PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) had the chance to chat with her at the launch of HTC phones held at the Ayala Museum last week. "I'm pretty thrilled because I'm having so much fun with my new phone. I'm tweeting right now, look. I just love it kasi it's able to do so many things, then so fast," she began, before demonstrating how typing a text message is done with her index finger. But that's not the only reason she's happy. After her last project (Stairway To Heaven with with Dingdong Dantes) GMA-7's next move for her career is a TV series with Aljur Abrenica. Her career is just like her phone, which allows her to experiment. She related, "I like putting a lot of different kind of things together. I also like it that my life has diversity in my career, in the things that I do, the things that I enjoy... "It's like this phone [her HTC Smartphone]. It's not only for the texting, it's for the Internet also. It's a complete slot, it has videos, drawing... "In my career naman, ayun na nga, parang I wanna be able to do comedy and then drama and then action, also with the leading men... I don't like to stop doing one thing, and so far, everything is doing well, just the way I wanted." NEXT LEADING MAN. And what does she think of her next leading man? "Aljur to me...he's young, he's fresh, attractive... Ayun na nga, parang it's interesting because for the first time in my life, he's probably like the closest person to my age. 'Tapos I feel like a teenager again," she replied. Rhian is 19 years old, Aljur is 20. She can't give more details though about her next project. "I'm not really sure pa if I'm allowed to divulge the story yet because I think they're kind of changing pa," she said. But her team-up with the StarStruck alumnus is certain. "I will be working with Aljur, but we're changing the concept." CHANGES IN PARTY PILIPINAS. The topic shifted to the recent changes in Party Pilipinas where she's a mainstay. Last April 27, the variety show's director Louie Ignacio made his sudden exit. Speculation arose about why Direk Louie left the show. An unconfirmed report claimed that a commotion took place backstage prior to his resignation. Rhian was saddened by the news, "It's really unfortunate. Alam mo mami-miss ko siya because not only I have done SOP with him, Party Pilipinas, I also had acting [projects] with him," she said. The Kapuso actress spoke good-naturedly about Direk Louie. Resuming her statement earlier, "He's a good director. And you know, he really meant... It's really unfortunate because he's been doing the show for such a long time. He's been the industry for such a long time. "I think he knows what's good for him, and what's gonna make him happy. And if getting, you know...If directing a different thing is what he thinks will make him happier, let things be." - Karen A. Pagsolingan, PEP
