Sofia Pablo opened up about her schooling as an actress in her latest Instagram post.
The Sparkle artist shared a photo of her business proposal plan, which she was still working on at 2 a.m. while in Osaka, Japan.
Sofia said she was just working on her project when she suddenly remembered the comments she got after posting about her group’s thesis defense such as, “Makapagtiktok kala mo naman may ambag.”
“At that time, I actually felt sad—kasi they didn’t know how much effort and time I was really putting into school,” Sofia said.
The Sparkle artist then explained why she chooses to do group work alone.
“Not because I don’t want to work with others, but because I know my schedule isn’t always the easiest to work around—and I don’t wanna be the ‘pabigat’ or ‘walang ambag’ sa group,” she said.
“From doing a full TED Talk, to writing a whole research paper with surveys, to several 10+ minute presentations (the longest was 43 minutes — solo!), I’ve learned how to manage, even when it gets tiring,” she added.
Sofia said she's sharing this not to prove anything, "but to remind you—and myself—that as long as you want something and you’re willing to work for it, it’s possible.”
She added that she has two months left before senior high school graduation.
Sofia currently stars in the series “Prinsesa ng City Jail.” She also starred in the Metro Manila Film Festival Best Picture awardee, “Green Bones.”
