Jean Garcia reacts to being compared to Red Velvet’s Irene

Jean Garcia is aware of the buzz among netizens who say that she and Red Velvet member Irene look alike.

In an interview with GMA News Online, Jean said that she is grateful for her supporters.

“Thank you kung totoo naman ‘yung mga sinasabi nila, maraming salamat. Ako naman, ‘pag may mga praises or ano, OK lang ako. I really am really grateful,” she said.

Jean, known for her timeless beauty and outstanding talent, speculated that their resemblance might stem from her family background.

“Siguro, well, kasi meron din sa side ng family ko, sa mother’s side, may Chinese blood kami, 50%. So medyo siguro chinita nang konti or kung ano man kung ba’t nila sinasabi na parang meron akong Korean ano. But thank you. Sa ‘kin naman, OK lang.”

Jean currently stars in “Lolong: Bayani ng Bayan” with Ruru Madrid.

Meanwhile, Irene and fellow Red Velvet member Seulgi are returning to the Philippines for a concert on Saturday.
