‘It’s Showtime’ disqualifies ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan’ contestant Marco Adobas

“It’s Showtime” announced the disqualification of Marco Adobas from the singing competition segment “Tawag ng Tanghalan."

According to the noontime show’s statement on Thursday, the contestants signed an agreement before the competition started.

“Sa hindi inaasahang pangyayari, si Marco Adobas ng #PangkatAlon ay may nilabag na alituntunin na nakasaad sa kanyang pinirmahang kasunduan. Dahilan para sa siya ay ma-disqualify, at hindi na magpatuloy sa kumpetisyon,” “It’s Showtime” said.

The show also noted that Adobas made heavy allegations on social media about the competition and the program, hence the possibility of filing a case against him.

Adobas will be replaced by Arvery Lagoring to fill his spot for Pangkat Alon.

The "It's Showtime" hosts had also announced Adobas' disqualification on Thursday's episode. Before episode ended, Vice Ganda gave a brief reminder for viewers.

“Kaya everyone, be very careful. Maaari tayong magbigay ng ating mga opinyon, pero siguraduhing ang ating mga opinyon ay hindi makakapagpahamak ng ibang tao o ng anumang grupo, at lalong hindi magpapahamak sa sarili ninyo,” Vice said.

Vice stressed that while everyone is entitled to their own opinion, one should not step on the rights of others.

“Maaari ka magbigay ng opinyon. Iba ang opinyon, pero iba ang akusasyon. Hindi lamang sa mga kasali rito kundi sa lahat, ang lahat ay binibigyan namin ng paalala. Maging mapanuri sa mga inilalagay i-pinopost sa soical media dahil kung ano mang nilalagay niyo diyan ay maaaring ikapahamak ng iba, maaaring ikapahamak mo at pagsisihan mo," said Vice.
