David Licauco hopes to redeem sinners in 'Samahan ng mga Makasalanan' trailer
David Licauco is a priest on a mission in his upcoming film, "Samahan ng mga Makasalanan."
In the trailer released on Thursday, David's character, Sam, gets assigned to a place which keeps running off its priests: Santo Kristo.
Shot in Vigan, the film turns Calle Crisologo to a street resembling a red light district where all kinds evil-doers gather: pimps, gossip-mongers, thieves, gamblers, and gangsters.
To redeem the sinners, Sam gets the idea to form a church group: the Samahan ng mga Makasalanan. He tells them that he will guide them to change their ways.
Aside from David, "Samahang ng mga Makasalanan" stars Sanya Lopez, Joel Torre, Buboy Villar, Chariz Solomon, Betong Sumaya, Euwenn Mikaell, and more.
Former Ilocos Sur governor Chavit Singson also appears in the trailer as one of the churchgoers attending mass.
"Samahan ng mga Makasalanan" is directed by Benedict Mique. It will be released in cinemas on April 19. —MGP, GMA Integrated News
