Joross Gamboa shares character's look in ‘Quezon’ biopic

Joross Gamboa gave fans another teaser on what his character looks like in the upcoming “Quezon” biopic.

On Instagram Wednesday, the actor shared photos of him with a beard, graying hair, and wearing dark retro-like clothes as he posed in front of an old-fashioned vehicle with actor Cris Villanueva and director Jerrold Tarog.

“Coming soon #Quezon,” Joross said.

In a previous post, Joross shared snaps of him wearing a vest, blazer, and trousers.

Although Joross did not officially announce his role, Mon Confiado, who plays Emilio Aguinaldo, called him "Eduardo Rusca" in the comments section. The clapperboard also bore the "detail Eduardo Rusca."

Previously played by Archie Alemania, Kapitan Eduardo is one of Heneral Luna’s most trusted soldiers.

Production is underway for "Quezon." The upcoming historical biopic will follow the life of Manuel L. Quezon, a lawyer and a soldier who became the President of the Commonwealth of the Philippines from 1935 to 1944, highlighting his tumultuous presidential campaign against Emilio Aguinaldo.

Jericho Rosales will play the title character.

Other cast members include "Game of Thrones" star Iain Glen as Leonard Wood, the United States Army major who served as Governor-General of the Philippines from 1921 to 1927; and Benjamin Alves as a younger version of Quezon.

"Quezon” is the third installment of TBA Studios' "Bayaniverse" following "Heneral Luna" and "Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral.”
