Ashley Ortega admits feeling 'like a failure' after 1st 'PBB' nomination

Emotions are high as the Ashley Ortega-AC Bonifacio duo is declared among the nominees.

As AC remained steadfast, saying "All we can do is do our part this week. Enjoy na lang," Ashley couldn't help but cry.

"I feel such a failure. No matter how hard I try to prove myself, parang I just can't get there. I know (to) myself that I am capable," she said.

According to Ashley, she expected a lot from herself and felt like an embarrassment after their nomination.

"I'm not blaming anyone. It's not about kung sino 'yung nag-nominate and bumoto sa amin. This is my personal issue [with] myself and I feel that I have failed and that it's such an embarrassment," the Kapuso actress continued.

"I expected so much in myself that I can last in this house. Kahit mahirap, Kuya, gusto kong patunayan sa sarili ko, Kuya, na kaya ko," Ashley added, stressing how much she wants to p rove herself to her mom through the PBB experience.

"Umaasa pa rin ako na magkakaayos pa rin kami ng nanay ko. Gusto kong ipakita sa kanya na I have changed as a person. That I've become a better person. Gusto ko pang mangyari 'yun, Kuya," she said.

"I still feel like sobrang dami ko pang patunayan. Ang dami ko pang kailangang kainin na bigas para lang ma-appreciate, ma-acknowledge lahat ng ginagawa ko," she added.

Kuya convinced Ashley to keep on fighting: "Do not consider yourself as a failure. We only fail once we stop trying. Tandaan mo na hangga't 'di ka sumusuko, hangga't patuloy kang lumalaban, hindi ka mabibigo."
