Mika Salamanca cries as she talks about Hawaii arrest, fear of making mistakes

Mika Salamanca got emotional during their "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition" weekly task as remnants of her past controversy haunted her.

In Saturday's episode, Mika was pulled to the side by her fellow weekly task leader Brent Manalo, who told her to assert herself to the team.

The housemates were tasked shoot an 18-minute one-shot film featuring the famous nine characters of Esnyr on TikTok.

As emotions were high, Mika told Kuya in the confession room that she felt that she's not giving their best for their weekly task.

"Napi-feel bad po talaga ko, Kuya, kasi hala ako pa naman 'yung leader parang wala akong ambag dito. Kaya po sila nagse-step up kasi wala silang nakukuha sa akin. Feeling ko kasalanan ko rin 'yun, Kuya, eh," she said.

Asked why she's feeling a certain way, Mika confessed that she's haunted by her arrest in Hawaii, mentioning how she trusted someone in the area at that time.

In 2020, the Hawaii attorney general’s office was shown videos of her dancing in a store and dining out when she was supposed to be in quarantine, prompting the order of arrest.

At that time, she also said that people had reported and filed complaints against her so authorities visited her in the house she was spending quarantine in.

"Nung nasa Hawaii po ako before, mayroon po akong pinagkatiwalaan na kaibigan noon. Nagtiwala po ako sa kanya kasi taga-doon siya tapos nung nakita po ng mga tao (na) lumabas ako nung quarantine first day ko roon, na-bash po ako nu'n and na-arrest po ako nu'n," she recalled.

Mika admitted that the bashing at that time affected her to a point that she's afraid to commit a mistake.

"So, everytime na may nagagawa po akong mali bumabalik 'yun, 'yung bashing sa akin sa pag-arrest sa akin. So, everytime na nagkakamali ako, natatakot ako na baka, hala, baka bumalik 'yung nangyari sa Hawaii, na 'yun nga, ang tanga ko," she said.

Kuya has this advice to Mika: "Huwag kang matakot magkamali. Sa bawat pagkakamali, ang importante ay kung ano 'yung natutunan mo. Ang pagkakamali, hindi ito magdidikta kung sino ka."
