Boy Abunda stars in Netflix's nostalgic ad for 'The Electric State'

Boy Abunda is the star of Netflix's nostalgic ad for the movie "The Electric State."
In the three-minute act, the Kapuso host with a full head of hair brought back viewers to the '90s, delivering showbiz news from the past in his show, "Showbzz."
Among the exclusive and explosive news he reported in the skit include Gladys Reyes' iconic slap, "rising superstar" Claudine Barretto's portrayal of a triplet, Alice Dixson's electrifying hairstyle, and more.
Also seen in the background of the commercial were robots moving around.
"The Electric State" is a sci-fi film starring Millie Bobby Brown, Chris Pratt, Ke Huy Quan, Stanley Tucci, Jason Alexander, Giancarlo Esposito, and Woody Norman.
Directed by the Russo brothers, it follows the tale of Michelle (Millie), a girl with a mysterious robot, and Keats (Chris), an odd drifter. The three journey across a retro-futuristic America in search of Michelle's younger brother.
"The Electric State" started streaming on Netflix Philippines on March 14.
