Mon Confiado transforms into Emilio Aguinaldo as filming for 'Quezon' begins

Emilio Aguinaldo is now on set!

On social media, Mon Confiado shared photos of him transforming into the historical figure as the film "Quezon" kicks off filming.

“As Emilio Aguinaldo 1935,” Mon wrote.

Mon is reprising his role as Aguinaldo, a character he also played in the first two films of Tarog's Bayaniverse Trilogy: "Heneral Luna" (2015) and "Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral" (2018).

"Quezon," the third film of the trilogy, began production this March with a target theatrical release later this year. It follows the life of former Philippine President Manuel L. Quezon.

Jericho Rosales will play the titular role of the Filipino lawyer and soldier who became the President of the Commonwealth of the Philippines from 1935 to 1944.

Earlier, Jericho showed off his hairdo as the late president.

Aside from Mon and Jericho, the biopic also stars “Game of Thrones" star Iain Glen as Leonard Wood, the United States Army major who served as Governor-General of the Philippines from 1921 to 1927, Karylle as Aurora Quezon, and Benjamin Alves who will play a younger version of Quezon.
